Foil wound transformers

With our foil wound transformers the coil frame is wound with copper or aluminium foil across its entire width, also with insulating foil class B, F or H, according to your requirements. Trafa can wind using five different widths and several coils can be installed on each leg.

Copper terminal strips are applied to the foils using cold compression technique, avoiding vulnerable soldered joints. These strips are connected to terminal clamps or bus bars. The delta, star, zigzag, serial or parallel connections are then made on these terminal clamps or bus bars,

Optimal cooling is achieved through the provision of one or more cooling channels at the ends of the cools. Cooling fans can also be installed below the coils, or a roof fan can be used where the equipment is installed in a cabinet.
